WORK PLACEMENTS & WORK EXPERIENCE
BALTIC offers work placement opportunities to university students through existing partnerships. Please note that if further opportunities arise, they will be posted in this section.
Please be aware that we have filled all positions for work placement/experience for the 2016/17 academic year and summer period. We will post full details regarding applications for the 2017/18 academic year in the Autumn of 2017.
For further information regarding placements and work experience, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
BALTIC is programmed two years in advance, with the majority of exhibitions and residencies arising from direct invitations to artists and curators. Therefore we are rarely able to accommodate unsolicited submissions for exhibitions. If you choose to make a submission, it will be reviewed individually by a member of the curatorial team. Your submission will be returned within a few weeks if accompanied by an S.A.E. Please note that BALTIC is unable to offer individual feedback on portfolios. We also recommend that you examine our exhibition history to see whether your work is likely to be suitable within the context of our programme.
Submissions should include:
• a letter introducing yourself and stating clearly your reason for contact with BALTIC
• a short statement about your work
• a list of works with title, dimensions/duration, date and media
• an up to date Curriculum Vitae
• clearly labelled examples of work in the form of slides or CD or DVD. Please do not send any original material.
To submit work for review please mark as ‘For Submission’ and send to: Programme Team, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, South Shore Road, Gateshead NE8 3BA UK
Please note that submissions via email will not be accepted.
