BALTIC Sparks is a new programme of artist residencies for children and young people with special educational needs. We are currently looking to work with 2 schools from Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
BALTIC hosts a series of Teacher Network Events which are a great way to keep up to date with what's going on in your region. Find out about events and projects, share ideas and practice and catch-up with likeminded colleagues in a relaxed setting.
We are delighted to announce that BALTIC Stars, our free, artist-led activity programme for Special Educational Needs Schools, will be continuing for another year. We're calling out for applications for 3 schools to take part in 2019/20 from the North East.
BALTIC offers a series of high quality Continuing Professional Development workshops and seminars for teachers and other learning professionals. Our events are suitable for those working in primary, secondary and post-16 settings. Click the image above to find out about current CPD workshops.
During 2017-2018, 76 children and young people, based in 6 north east Special Needs Schools or Alternative Provisions, worked with BALTIC artists to create their own unique projects as part of BALTIC Stars. Each school’s programme culminated in an exhibition that showcased their diverse range of ideas, imagination, processes and skills. This resource celebrates each school's project and is available to download for free.
