Start your night at BALTIC for this year’s Late Shows, which promises to be bigger than ever. 19.00-23.00: Book-making Workshop
Drop-into an informal drop-in zine making workshop, led by artist Sharon Wilson. Inspired by the playful exhibition THE CITY IS WHERE WE'RE GOING NEXT, you'll be using BALTIC Library's collection of architecture and urban photography books to create your own sites for play in real or imaginary urban landscapes.
19.00 & 20.00: Rock Choir
Watch a spectacular display of uplifting, feel-good pop, rock and contemporary chart songs performed by the Newcastle & Ponteland Rock Choir. The local singers will be presenting an explosion of entertainment, guaranteed to make you dance! Rock Choir's ethos of fun, friendship and community spirit is a huge part of its attraction and is passed on to its audience through every performance.
19.00 & 20.00: Experiential Tour
Join a member of BALTIC Crew for a brand new tour experience. Head to Level 4 at 19.00 & 20.00 where you’ll be guided through Simon & Tom Bloor’s exhibition THE CITY IS WHERE WE’RE GOING NEXT using objects, sounds and dialogue.
19.30 & 20.30: Kittiwalk Talk
Join seabird expert Dan Turner (Tyne Kittiwake Partnership) and learn about BALTIC’s feathery friend, the Kittiwake. Taking place in BALTIC’s Learning space Quay (Level 2), Dan will chat about the kittiwake colony that nest on BALTIC’s north face from March through to August. There’ll be an opportunity to see the birds before or after the talk from BALTIC’s external viewing platform (Level 4), plus time for questions.
