BALTIC welcomes you to a free day of creativity for you and your family. With activity across the building exploring movement, colour and sound. BALTIC’s Family Day is sure to keep your family creative all day.

A performance especially created for BALTIC family day, takes place on Level 1. The artist Nicola Singh and a group of artists and musicians work together to explore our animal energies through movement, sound, sculpture and drawing.

Enjoy activities in Level 4 and Quay, Level 2 and watch out for pop-up parades that will be taking place on Ground Floor, Level 2 and Level 5.

Recommended for 4-13 year olds, but all ages are welcome.


Helpful tips for your visit on BALTIC's free Family Day

Baby Changing
Unisex baby changing facilities are available on the Ground Floor, Level 1 and in Quay, Level 2.

Breast feeding
Breast feeding is welcome throughout BALTIC.

Cloakroom
A range of lockers are available to use on the ground floor of the building within gallery hours. Visitors wishing to use this facility will require a £1 coin to operate the locker, which is refunded when the key is replaced. Change is available from the BALTIC Shop and the Information Desk, also on the ground floor.

Family Day Opening times
BALTIC is open 10.00-18.00 as usual, Family Day activities are on 11.00-16.00.

Family Day Lunch Offer
On Ground Floor, BALTIC KITCHEN is open 09.00-17.30.
Family Day only discounts are available, including: Kids Lunch Box £3 each or two for £5.
Choice of Ham or Cheese Sandwich with Fruit Yoghurt, Fruit Juice and Crisps.
Alternatively, bring your own packed lunch - a picnic area will be provided in River Terrace, with stunning views of the Quayside.

Free tea and coffee
A free tea and coffee station is situated on Level 1, bring a completed BALTIC Family Day voucher to receive your free tea or coffee.
